Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, study the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit.
Please join us before the service for pre service prayer at 9:00am and Sunday School at 9:30am.
We believe prayer and worship are essential to followers of Jesus, bringing Kingdom reality to earth. Gather with us Wednesday evenings at 6:30 as we pray and worship together.
Our building is located at 1800 US-11 in Gouverneur.
CFC sent Pastor Ford Reynolds to lead a group to establish a congregation in Richville in 1992. The plant grew, taking on a unique culture and ministry of its own. In 2009, Pastor Mike Tomford was set in as the primary pastor at Richville. Since then, Richville has continued to grow with Sunday School classes, house meetings, and weekly services.
In the winter of 2015 another congregation was established in Gouverneur. In the the summer of 2018 the Richville and Gouverneur congregations started to have joint meetings in anticipation of consolidating into one centrally located church to serve the south western part of St. Lawrence County.
Lead Pastor
Mike Tomford is the lead pastor of Gouverneur.
He has been serving at CFC since 1994 and pastoring in Gouverneur since 2009. Mike lives in Gouverneur with his wife Judy and they have five adult sons.
